Dr. Sherif F. Atallah completed his medical training at Ain Shams University in 1981, and trained in psychiatry at the Behman Hospital at SHO and Registrar levels. He obtained the M.Sc. in Neuropsychiatry at Ain Shams University in 1987, then continued his training on the "Oxford Scheme" in the UK, obtaining the Membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists and the Board Certification in Psychiatry from the Institute of Psychiatry - London University in 1992. He continued to practice as Consultant Psychiatrist at The Behman Hospital from 1993 to 1998, and then as Medical Director. Dr. Atallah is a member of the Egyptian Psychiatric Association and a Clinical Tutor in The Royal College of Psychiatrists - UK and Vice Chairman of the Middle East Division of the Royal College of Psychiatrists.

Dr. Ahmed Refaat El-Dosoky completed his basic medical training at Benha Faculty of Medicine, Zagazig University in 1983. He continued his postgraduate training at Benha University Hospital and gained his Master Degree in Neurology and Psychological Medicine in 1989. He also worked as a registrar and then senior registrar at the Behman Hospital between 1989 and 1991. He trained at Charing Cross General Psychiatric Training Scheme, UK during the period from 1991 to 1996. He was elected to the Membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists in 1995. He was elected to the fellowship of the Royal College of Psychiatrists in 2008. Upon returning to Cairo on 1996 Dr. El-Dosoky worked as consultant psychiatrist at the Behman Hospital. In July 2000 he became the Managing Director of the Hospital in addition to his work as Consultant Psychiatrist. Dr. El-Dosoky was instrumental in the inauguration of the Middle East Division of the Royal College of Psychiatrists in 1998. He is also an Overseas College Tutor since 1999. Dr. El-Dosoky continued the tradition of practicing in psychiatry within the setting of the hospital and private offices in Cairo. He was elected as a Board Member of the World Association of Cultural Psychiatry since 2009.

Dr. Loza completed his medical training at Cairo University in 1981 and continued training in psychiatry in the Institute of Psychiatry the Maudsley Hospital in London to return to Cairo in 1987. He was elected to the Membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists in 1987 and the Fellowship in 1995. Fellowship in 1995.
Dr. Loza is a member of American and Egyptian Psychiatric Associations. He is on the executive committee of the Arab Federation of Psychiatry and the Arab Board of Psychiatry. A member of the editorial board of International Psychiatry and Chairman of the Middle East Group of the Royal College of Psychiatrists. Dr Loza served as the General Secretary for Mental Health, Ministry of Health and Population of Egypt (2006 - 2011). He currently serves on the Advisory Group that reviews and advises PD/PI for a multi-site NIH funded training grant (Tri-national Training Program for Psychiatric Genetics, TNTPPG, D43 TW008302, 08/09-07/14).
Dr. Loza continued the tradition of practicing in psychiatry within the setting of the hospital and private offices in Cairo.

Dr. Shahira Fathi Loza was granted her MB BCh from Cairo University Medical School ( El Kasr el Aini) 1979 and started basic training in Psychiatry at the Behman after graduating, during this time she received her Diploma in Psychiatry and Neurology (Cairo University). She continued at the Behman hospital with special interest in children with special needs and rehabilitation programs. Starting 1985 she held the post of Director of Dar El Toufoula for rehabilitation besides being a consultant in the Behman hospital and served in many benevolent NGOs with the same interest. In 1996 her interest in Sleep Medicine materialized by her training at the Cleveland Clinic, Ohio and Stanford California, USA. In 1997 she successfully completed the course of Sleep Medicine at Stanford School of Sleep Medicine. She was granted the Diploma of Sleep Medicine from French Universities, Montpellier, France . Currently she holds the position of Director of the Cairo Center for Sleep Disorders and the Neurophysiology unit at the Behman.

Prof. Mohamed Fakhr El-Islam trained in Psychiatry at the Institute of Psychiatry in London and trained in psychotherapy at the Tavistock Institute of Human Relations in London. He is a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh and a fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists in London. He began his academic career in the Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University and was Professor of Psychiatry at Kuwait University. He started psychiatric services for the state of Qatar in 1971 and the University psychiatric department in Kuwait in 1980. His main areas of research are Arab cultural and Epidemiological Psychiatry. His most recent publications include contributions to reference books in these areas published by the American Psychiatric Press, the International Universities Press and the World Psychiatric Association. He was the the associate editor of the International Journal of Social Psychiatry and Secretary of the Trans-cultural Psychiatry Section of the World Psychiatric Association.
At present he is the Academic Consultant to The Behman.

Dr. Ragaei Sami Ibrahim completed his medical training at Kasr el Einy Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University in 1977. He continued post-graduate training at The Behman hospital and Kasr Elaine Hospital and gained master degree in Neurology and Psychological medicine in 1986. Dr. Zitoun is certified by the Arab Board of Psychiatry since 1998. He is in charge of the Old Age Psychiatry department and Memory Clinic. Area of interest: Old age psychiatry, Alzheimers Dementia Assessment tools for cognitive impairment.

Dr. Waguih Faris Roufael obtained his MB BCh from the Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University in June 1971. After spending one year as a House Officer at the university hospitals he enrolled in the Behman Hospital, holding a post of Registrar Psychiatrist from 1972-1977. Upon earning a post-graduate degree of D.P.M.&N from Cairo University in April 1977, Dr. Fares served as Senior Registrar Psychiatrist from 1979 to 1988. Dr. Fares held the post of Consultant Psychiatrist, rotating on the wards of varied branches and subspecialties of psychiatry. During this period he received nomination from Professor Linford Rees, the previous President of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, to undertake the position of Senior Registrar Psychiatrist at the Charter Clinic, London. Since 1988 Dr. Fares has held the position of Senior Consultant at the Behman Hospital until 1997 when he was elected Head of the Substance Abuse Department. As a senior staff member Dr. Fares continues to actively contribute to the tradition of practise in Psychiatry both within the hospital in-patient setting and the private out-patient clinics in Cairo. In addition Dr. Fares regularly attends regional and international conferences and participates in academic and research activities.

Dr. Karima Salah completed her Basic Medical training at Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University in 1978; she gained Master Degree in Neurology psychological Medicine in 1987. Dr. Saleh worked as a registrar in Behman Hospital from 1980 to 1989. She worked as a specialist in psychiatry at Saudi-Arabia between 1989 to 1996. From 1996 till now she is a specialist and acting consultant in psychiatry at The Behman.

Dr. Abdelhalim completed his basic medical training at the Faculty of Medicine - Mansoura University, class of 2000. He trained at the Agiad Psychiatric Hospital - Mansoura in 2003 and has been working at The Behman since 2003. Dr. Abdelhalim is certified by the Arab Board of Psychiatry since 2007. He obtained his Total Quality Management Diploma (TQM) from the American University in Cairo. He is a specialist and acting consultant in psychiatry at The Behman.
Dr. Abdelhalim serves as Assistant Medical Director, President of the Patients Rights Committee, as well as a member of the Quality Management team at The Behman.

Dr. Ghoneim serves as Assistant Medical Director, as well as the head of the Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) clinic at The Behman.
