Dr. Shahira Fathi Loza was granted her MB BCh from Cairo University Medical School ( El Kasr el Aini) 1979 and started basic training in Psychiatry at the Behman after graduating, during this time she received her Diploma in Psychiatry and Neurology (Cairo University)
She continued at the Behman hospital with special interest in children with special needs and rehabilitation programs. Starting 1985 she held the post of Director of Dar El Toufoula for rehabilitation besides being a consultant in the Behman hospital and served in many benevolent NGOs with the same interest
In 1996 her interest in Sleep Medicine materialized by her training at the Cleveland Clinic –Ohio and Stanford California -USA. In 1997 she successfully completed the course of Sleep Medicine at Stanford School of Sleep Medicine. She was granted the Diploma of Sleep Medicine from French universities, Montpellier France .
Currently she holds the position of Director of the Cairo Center for Sleep Disorders and the Neurophysiology unit at the Behman hospital.
